Delhi Airport Taxi

From Delhi Airport, passengers can take a taxi to get to the city center. The approximate transfer time is 30 minutes, but traffic conditions in India can be complicated. Take this into consideration as travel time can be affected.

Types of Taxis

There are prepaid and metered taxis. We recommend taking a prepaid taxi.

If you choose to take a prepaid taxi, first you will need to go to the taxi counter to get your ticket.

Scams

In order to avoid scams, it is advisable to take a taxi at the counter located within the Airport premises.

Fares

Depending on your taxi choice, prepaid or metered, fares will be different too.

Taxi fares to New Delhi vary depending on the kilometers to your destination. The normal fare is INR 20.00 – 25.00 per kilometer.

Fares are set by the government and vary depending on the area. The cost is approximately 400-500 rupees to the city center (a surcharge of 25% is applicable for late-night travel from 11pm to 5am).

Shared Rides

Ola and Uber offer ridesharing services from Delhi Airport. To request a car, you need to have the application downloaded on your phone.
